Dear Current OLS Families,
Recently, there have been discussions regarding the viability of Our Lady of Sorrows School, given the reduction in enrollment and the cost to the supporting parish. The school has a long history of providing quality Catholic education for the area. However, the impact on parish finances has become greater. We are looking at how we can make the school more financially solvent.
There has been some initial discussion about restructuring the school to reduce costs by reducing staff and possibly bringing in more income through a wrap around care service.
A survey is now available to get feedback on what you feel is the best way to make Our Lady of Sorrows the school more parents want their children to attend. To take the survey, click here. Please provide us with ideas and solutions to help our school thrive for many more years. If you would prefer to complete a paper copy of the survey, stop by the parish office or call 715-532-3051 to have a survey mailed to you.
There will be an open forum to discuss plans for improving the viability of the school at 6:00pm, on Wednesday, November 13th. The meeting will be held either at the OLS church or the OLS school gym. You will be notified of the location prior to the meeting date. Please feel free to contact the parish office with any questions.
Your opinion is crucial in the determination of how to move forward. Please take time to complete the survey and attend our open forum meeting to express your thoughts, ideas and possible solutions.
